The next stop in our Single Hop series finds us in Oceania again. We used the following hop varieties for the brew:
NELSON SAUVIN
The original hop variety from around 2000, which got its name from its dry, grapey, gooseberry flavors reminiscent of Sauvignon Blanc - this provides the reliable, summery base for the hop combo.
KOHIA NELSON
A fresher variation of Nelson Sauvin, with pronounced tropical fruit and grapefruit notes, which adds a playfulness and sparkling flavor to the mix that matches the malt.
SUPER SAUVIN
A Phantasm variation, i.e. Nelson Sauvin hops mixed with grape skins - this fresh, exciting trend shows how to make the flavor notes of hops even more exciting and intense.
